Celebrities and crypto, a match made in heaven? Or a recipe for disaster?

In some regards it’s the wild west out there, people.

Remember when Matt Damon told us that “fortune favors the brave” with that intense Crypto.com ad? Rubbish.

Or Tom Brady were all buddy-buddy promoting FTX in these now disaster commercials following FTX’s collapse and Sam-Bankman’s jailing of 25 years? Or Snoop Dog’s metaverse disaster? Akon even tried to build his own crypto city called ‘Akon City’.

It all seemed so glamorous, didn’t it? Here’s the thing.

All of the above in some shape or form have been failures by now. Do not listen to celebrities advice all the time on crypto.

They are getting paid and shilled to promote various coins and platforms at times. They are not doing it in the interest of you, the user, investor, buyer or seller, no, no.

They are only doing it in the interests of their own agenda.

In all of the above examples, reality hits. The bubble bursts.

And those who trusted blindly, based on a celebrity’s word, are left holding the bag.

Floyd Mayweather and Kim Kardashian got slapped with a lawsuit over their EthereumMax promotions. Investors felt misled, like they’d been taken for a ride by the very people they admired. It’s a harsh lesson learned and the lesson is this.
